Today’s book quote is from Nicholas Sparks’, Dear John.
“When you’re struggling with something, look at all the people around you and realise that every single person you see is struggling with something, and to them, it’s just as hard as what you’re going through.”
And today’s quote about books/reading is:
“Reading gives us someplace to go when we have to stay where we are.”
– Mason Cooley
Ok so thats it for today, unfortunately I won’t be putting a book review up tomorrow as I haven’t been feeling the best lately – so no reading 😦 but I’ll try to get one up as soon as possible.
I know that this isn’t a Book review, I’m sorry.
❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
I really, really, really enjoyed this movie. I’m sorry that I didn’t see this movie earlier – it was amazing! Mae Whitman and Robbie Amell did an awesome job with this movie. Whilst the relationship between the characters was almost completely different to in the book, it worked.
Now I don’t want to be one of those people who obsesses over the tiny details that were different to the book, but I will say that I was weary about seeing the movie because from the vibe I got from the movie trailer was that the dynamic of the character’s relationship was different, but as I said before it worked really well with the movie’s storyline.
I said in my book review that I didn’t find myself relating to Bianca very well, but after Mae’s wonderful job with the movie, my view has changed.
One of the things that I absolutely loved about this movie is that after it finished I left with a huge confidence boost – Never have I left a cinema feeling like that. I knew before seeing this movie that it would promote self-love, and did they deliver. Technically I would have given the movie 4.5 hearts, but I can’t seem to figure out how to do that. I know that I will be buying this movie as soon as it is released so that I can watch it over and over again.
Before I go, I would like to say that if you aren’t going to see the movie because you don’t like the concept of the ‘DUFF‘ (nobody does!) it isn’t about calling young girls ugly or fat, it is about a girl who discovers just how beautiful she is without changing everything about herself.
If you have seen the DUFF I would love to hear what you thought about it 🙂
I’ve just made a Facebook page for this blog, the link for it is below:
Please check it out 🙂
I’ll see you tomorrow with the weekly Book Quotes.
I’m so sorry that I have posted anything lately. Just after New Years the internet decided it had had enough and stopped working, so I have only just recently gotten internet connection again. Yay! Hopefully I’ll have some more reviews to share with you soon.
Merry Christmas Everybody!!!
I hope everybody has a great Christmas and gets lots of awesome goodies especially books 🙂
Have a great day,
